A carefully crafted digital tone solution for 1990s to 2000s Nordic Death Metal. Authentic tones for Neural Quad Cortex, Kemper Profiling Amp, Neural Amp Modeler plugin, Line6 Helix series and Fractal (2nd and 3rd generation) guitar modelling units with accurate IR cabinets and extensive documentation of the original gear.

The Authentic Reaper Tone Package includes:

Pickup EQ matching

It all starts with a bridge humbucker. That’s basically the only requirement. We’ve matched the original active preamp booster with correct settings to multiple pickup types:

  • EMG 81
  • Seymour Duncan JB
  • Seymour Duncan ‘59

All of these EQ presets are contained in each device’s presets and are a good starting point for other active humbuckers, high output passive humbuckers and vintage output PAF-style humbuckers. There’s no problem to further tweak them to your own taste!

  • ESP Custom Shop Alexi Sawtooth guitar – originally owned by the Artist himself
    • White with solid black bevels
    • Alder body with a neck thru design
    • 24 fret maple neck with ebony fretboard /w sawtooth inlays
    • Original Floyd Rose trem system
    • A single passive EMG HZ H-2 bridge pickup
    • ESP MM-04 booster circuit running on 9V
  • The Rack System – Accurately cloned to the finest detail
    • Lee Jackson GP-1000 Tube Preamp 1:1 modified to the original preamp’s spec by Triodipaja in Finland (s/n 880765, the original was 880531)
    • Rocktron RSP 2400 Multiband Enhancer
    • Rocktron Intellifex
    • VHT 2/50/2 Power Amp
  • Marshall JVM 410H 100w tube amplifier head
  • Marshall 2203KK tube amplifier head
  • Marshall 1960B 4×12” cabinet

The JVM410H and the 1960B cabinet were the Artist’s own #1 touring amp and cabinet. The 2203KK was used in the studio.

All three amplifiers were captured to the finest detail for Kemper Profiling Amplifier and Neural Quad Cortex and the free open source Neural Amp Modeler plugin.

Line6 Helix family and Fractal modelers

All three amplifiers were also carefully generated with the algorithmic modeling platforms by Line6 and Fractal Audio (2 & 3 generation).

Other Fractal modelers/newer Fractal firmwares may be compatible by converting the Axe-Fx III presets with a third party software. The Fractal presets are also exported in human-readable CSV form for future-proofing.

The Authentic Reaper Tone Package’s most useful feature is the cabinet impulse response files provided in multiple formats for maximum compatibility. They can be used in whatever hard- or software that uses IR-files.

The Documentation

Exciting detailed info how the original tones were created from the guitar pick all the way through the cabinet speakers moving the thunderous air.

Be sure to at least read your modeler’s section from the documentation. It includes instructions how to import and fine tune the presets.

For Neural Quad Cortex owners:

If you use Neural Quad Cortex, there’s no specific files involved. Everything happens within the Cortex Cloud, therefore it’s required to add your Cortex Cloud user account details to “Additional information” field in Checkout page before you buy the tone package. After this push the Follow button for our user authenticreaper on Cortex Cloud. We will then send the Quad Cortex presets to your Cortex Cloud inbox in 1-5 working days! Authentic Reaper sound and video demos

The Multitrack clips have the default cabinets and are tracked with EMG 81 bridge humbucker and matched in the presets. The clips feature all amps with different modelers.

The AR Demo Riff clips are reamped through different modelers and feature different amps and IR cabinets. They also feature three different humbuckers: EMG 81, Seymour Duncan JB and Seymour Duncan 59. All pickups are matched in the presets.
